Larry Smith

Larry D. Smith is a native of Texas, but has lived in South Georgia since 1989. Early in his career he worked as a sales executive with Western Union. Later he and a partner formed, operated, and sold three businesses including a data terminal leasing firm and a real estate brokerage that bought and sold day care centers.

Larry works in residential and commercial real estate. He specializes in single family residential properties and in properties related to the sale of small and medium sized businesses. He has valuable experience in the acquisition and merger of owner-managed business operations.

Larry is married and his wife teaches fifth grade in the Jasper County, SC. school district. His son, Donnie, is a GA Tech graduate and works as an electrical engineer for Grumman Corporation. Larry has taught for the business schools at Georgia Southern University, Brewton-Parker College, and Univ. of South Carolina at Salkehatchie. He currently teaches courses in management and computer information systems at Charleston Southern University. He holds a BA from Harding University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
